PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • Managing Partner. Responsible for coordinating the transactional practice, including M&A, Corporate, Contracts, Corporate Governance, Compliance, Regulatory and Infrastructure
  • Specializing in M&A, including legal due diligences, as well as in corporate matters, including corporate and businesses reorganizations for local and multinational clients from a wide array of sectors and industries in pre-deals (carve-outs and others), post-deal integration, transformations and rationalizations, joint ventures, spin-off and mergers, corporate governance, regulatory and compliance, including data privacy and protection compliance projects; debt restructuring, intercompany financings and Project Finance; public and private bids; transfer of intellectual property rights among companies, foreign investments, incorporation of wholly-owned subsidiaries; land and real estate regularization processes in connection with acquisitions and divestments, and implementation of infrastructure projects

  • Bachelor of Laws – Faculdade de Direito Milton Campos, Brazil (1996)
  • LLM – University of Houston Law Center, Texas, EUA, as a Fulbright scholar (2002)
  • Finances for Executives (Insper – Instituto de Educação e Pesquisa) – 2016

PUBLISHED WORKS AND LECTURES:

  • Contributor to the WorldBank´s annual publication “Doing Business” (www.doingbusiness.org) in several business-related chapters such as setting up a company and registering properties in Brazil
  • Co-author of the Brazilian chapter for the publication M&A (in 2017), Public M&A (in 2018, 2019 and 2020) and Corporate Governance (in 2020) of the Lexology – “Getting the Deal Through” (GTDT) from the Law Business Research (LBR)
  • Author and co-author of corporate, corporate governance and M&A related articles for newspapers and specialized magazines, including for the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (“IBGC”), as a representative member of the IBGC´s Legal Commission
  • Guest speaker at events on corporate law in Brazil and abroad
